Students at a Texas A&M university found a dead cockroach in their lab and what did they do? Give it a befitting funeral. The roach, named "Rosie," was left unattended in the anthropology building for two weeks, according to a post on Imgur by user jimmyevil, presumably lying in state.
Cigarettes, flowers, stones, notes and coins were all placed next to her corpse in the following days. A poster reading "never forget" was also added, while a Post-It note said, "You were always there to say hello to me in the morning, Rosie! We will miss you." Poor Rosie was eventually cremated on a funeral pyre in grand style.
